A material study for a simple kitchen-based AM/FM radio stemming from a 2004 design positioning project for Radio Shack. While rethinking a line of radios intended for use in different parts of the American home, we balanced functional features, size, and durability. Visually, the line was tied together with a design language based on internally tapered shapes with high material breaks bridged by large lozenge-shaped displays.
